I am way behind on Wilco— I guess it takes a lifetime.
16 years alcohol free here - it works if you work it. Don’t miss ‘it’ one bit.
Keep on keeping on.
PS Check out Jacob’s Ladder when you get a chance. My son Jacob Ray Tillman’s 3rd collection of original - self produced songs.
BTW a good friend here just named his son Henry.
Fwiw. Don’t try No doze !
Also. Trust me. If you get a chance to see Phish- Much better than i ever expected and the songs — are really good. Plus like BD and GD they pull you in with covers that maybe you didn’t know—.
Were. you able to listen all the way thru to the Paul Simon album?
Jimmie T, my man. I was just in Nashvegas to see the Cat Power (Dylan) show with Jason Roemer, we spent a lot of time thinking about you, Bucky, and all those adventures.
So glad to hear you're dry. Stay strong, my friend. I cannot wait to check out Jacob's Ladder!
First off, wow congrats on a year of sobriety. I am hoping to start a similar journey—in January (finishing up my last whiskeys).
Great reads!! I have added several on my list from your write up.
I too read “a long walk to water “, “They got daddy” and just yesterday addison gave me Mary Oliver devotions to read.
I am curious about “Open”—only because tennis is my favorite sport. I need to read the Alchemist. 50 in reverse just has a cool title and so does the 10th of December. Did you know Johnny Cash also has another book called “man in white” from his days as a Reverend.
I am going to put some books On Hold now. Thanks for the inspiration!!
I thought 'Open' was just excellent. I read it after hearing a couple sports journalists refer to it as "the greatest memoir from an athlete" and, indeed, it was such a great read. Agassi is funny, vulnerable, driven and (unexpectedly?) down to earth. (He also talks about his conditioning and fitness in a way I think you'll enjoy.) I think you'll just love it.
Didn't know that about JC! I'll check that out, too.
Excellent year, Matt. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. Always look forward to it.
Can’t wait
to read the TOOM book.
I couldn’t get the playlist to work fwiw ??

Thank you, Tinea! :-)
